Thursday, September 12, 2024 The emergence of Supply Chain Due Diligence laws, particularly the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act, has significant implications for occupational safety and health (OSH) across ASEAN Member States (AMS). These laws compel companies to not only focus on human rights but also ensure that workplace safety standards are upheld throughout their supply chains

 

 

The integration of Supply Chain Due Diligence laws into the regulatory frameworks of AMS offers a unique opportunity to enhance occupational safety and health across the region. By leveraging insights from Germany, the EU, the ILO, and ISSA, AMS can develop a unified approach that not only addresses human rights issues but also significantly improves workplace safety standards.
