Indonesia Workshop, Virtual Conference:
Workshop on Development of ASEAN Guidelines on HIV Counseling
and Testing in The Workplace on 9 June 2021
And
Workshop on Prevention and Control of HIV-AIDS at the Workplace
during Pandemic COVID-19 on 10 June 2021

The ASEAN Guidelines on HIV Counseling and Testing in the work place are expected to make a positive contribution and can be applied by the ASEAN Member State. It must be able to describe an effective and applicable VCT at workplace to be applied to all ASEAN Member State members, and send reports to relevant stakeholders.

This Workshop’s objectives:

-Develop ASEAN Guidelines on HIV Counselling and Testing in the Workplace which can be used by AMS as a tool to support HIV Counselling and Testing in the Workplace.

-ASEAN Countries could be able to learn and share information related to best practice for HIV Counselling and Testing at the Workplace.

-ASEAN Countries could increase the protection of health and productivity of labour at the workplace; and contribute to decrease HIV prevalence in productive age, and workshop format comprise three plenary sessions. First, ILO presented guideline on HIV counseling and testing in the workplace followed by Q&A session. Second, Host presented compilation of implementation HIV counselling and testing in the workplace based on AMS responses followed by AMS confirmation. Third, Host presented draft of ASEAN guidelines on HIV counselling and testing in the workplace followed by responses from each AMS for all chapter of the guidelines. Senior Consultant summarized session three with conclusion of workshop on development of ASEAN guidelines on HIV counselling and testing in the workplace.

Workshop on Prevention and Control of HIV-AIDS at the Workplace during Pandemic COVID-19 This Workshop’s objectives:

-ASEAN Countries could share the prevention and control HIV-AIDS at the workplace during pandemic COVID-19 that integrated to OSH Program

-ASEAN Countries could increase the protection of health and productivity of labour at the workplace

-ASEAN Countries could be able to learn and share information related to best practice for Prevention and Control of COVID-19 at the Workplace, and workshop format is comprised three plenary sessions where AMS and international organizations are invited to share their respective information and experiences. Each presentation took 10 minutes. The presentations in each session followed by responses from selected AMS and Q&A. Moderator will be assigned to facilitate each session. The expected the workshop will be consisting of representatives of Governments of AMS, members of ASEAN Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS also from international organisations.
